Week In Review

We have done a few puzzles this last week. This one of Noah's ark. It was funny. In the top left hand area you might notice a piece of the puzzle missing. We tried and tried but I couldn't find it anywhere. So I took a picture of the puzzle (we take pictures of all the puzzles tyler does) and then I told him to put it away so we could eat dinner. After dinner I get up to put my plate away and all of the sudden, I found the missing piece. It was sad I already had the puzzle put away.

On a side note, Tyler loves to put puzzles together. I think this one had 550 pieces. We've done ones with a few more. But the irritating thing with Tyler is he doesn't really look at the colors or what's on the puzzle piece. He can pick up a piece by just looking at its shape and then put the piece in. He is very gifted to see how things should just fit together.

The missing puzzle piece!

So the other day, the girls disappeared into their room. Then I heard the stereo turned up loudly. I decided to sneak in and see what they were doing. They were sitting on stools, with instruments, pretending to be in a band. I thought it was cute. I went back and got my camera, but I didn't get too much of it recorded before I was discovered. So here's a funny video only a few seconds long.

Other then these fun things, we have had a lot of issues around our house. Both of our vehicles have had to have some repairs. In both of them, we've been stuck - where our car won't start. New brakes on the van and of course changing our tires. The dishwasher broke and sadly it's a fairly new dishwasher. Then of course Tyler.
He was having a bad asthma episode and we couldn't get him better. We took him in and he got a steroid shot, but a week later I got a phone call from the school. I took him into the dr. in the afternoon. When we first arrived and they checked his oxygen saturation, he was only at 85%. Anything below 90% is basically an automatic to the hospital. We saw the Dr., they took blood, gave him a breathing treatment, re-checked his oxygen and right after a breathing treatment he was only up to 86%. They took x-rays and gave him another shot. The Dr. didn't let us go for awhile and he was mulling it over in his mind. He was extremely hesitant, but let us come home. Tyler was also put on an oral steroid and one that we put into the nebulizer for breathing. Plus a few other medicines. It was touch and go for awhile and both Allen and I thought for sure we'd have to take him in because it was such labored breathing. Luckily around 7 pm that night, he just started doing better.
While it has been an awful sort of a week, I must say that I am so thankful that it wasn't worse. We were lucky to find a mechanic who knew how to fix the blazer. It wasn't something that I think most people would have connected in their minds. So that could have been worse. The van and the brakes could have been worse. I was originally told it was going to be about a hundred more than what it was. That was a blessing. I got stuck in the van at a gas station in Rigby. Thankfully, my dad was able to help me. At least it was just the battery and not the alternator. And finally, thankfully Tyler is ok. I always worry about him and I never sleep when he isn't doing well. I am especially grateful he didn't have to be in the hospital and that he started doing well so quickly. Anyway, here's to hoping for a better week!

So right... that was the week that was! Let's not do that again, all right? Glad Tyler is doing better now and that the cars are running... if only that dang dishwasher would kick in! Hang in there... it'll get better... promise!
